Unlike other national and regional providers, Pandion does not charge residential or peak surcharges.
Residential Delivery - NO SURCHARGE
Other national and regional providers charge a Residential Delivery Surcharge of ~$5.95 per package for any delivery to a residential home, including a business operating out of a residence. Pandion provides this same residential delivery service without the surcharge.
Peak Delivery - NO SURCHARGE
Other national and regional providers charge additional fees during times of high demand and limited capacity. Pandion has the capacity to flex with your peak demand and does not charge demand surcharges.
Delivery Area Surcharge (DAS)
Delivery Area Surcharges will apply to each package delivered to certain ZIP codes within our coverage area.
Extended Delivery Area Surcharge (EDAS)
Delivery Area Surcharges will apply to each package delivered to certain ZIP codes within our coverage area.
Address Correction
When an address provided is incorrect or incomplete for purposes of completing delivery, Pandion may correct or complete an address based on information obtained from the Shipper or consignee. In such instance, an Address Correction Surcharge will be applied.
Signature Service
The Shipper has requested Pandion obtain a delivery signature from an individual at or near the delivery address.
Adult Signature Service
The Shipper has requested Pandion obtain a delivery signature from an adult recipient at or near the delivery address. The adult recipient must be at least 21 years old (government-issued photo ID required for delivery).
Non-Standard Length >22"
Any package with the longest side measuring more than 22 inches and not exceeding 30 inches.
Non-Standard Length >30"
Any package with the longest side measuring more than 30 inches and not exceeding 48 inches.
Non-Standard Cube >24"
Any package with L x W x H measuring more than 2 cubic feet (3,456 cubic inches).
Additional Handling
Length >48", Second Side >30", Weight >70lb
An Additional Handling Surcharge will be assessed for any package that requires special handling. For a package that meets multiple Additional Handling criteria, only one Additional Handling charge will be assessed. An Additional Handling charge will not be assessed when an Unauthorized or Large Package Surcharge is applied.
Large Package/Oversize
Length >72", Length + Girth >130"
A Large Package Surcharge will be applied to a package when its combined length plus girth (2x(width+height)) exceeds 130 inches, or if any one dimension exceeds 72". Large packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds in addition to the Large Package Surcharge. An Additional Handling Fee will not be assessed when a Large Package Surcharge is applied.
Unauthorized
Billed weight >150lb, Length >108", Length + Girth >165"
Packages with a billable weight of more than 150 pounds or that exceed 108 inches in length, or exceed a total of 165 inches in length plus girth (two times the width, plus two times the height) combined are not accepted for carriage. These packages are unauthorized; however, if found in our system during transit, we will assess an unauthorized package surcharge. We reserve the right to refuse unauthorized packages or upon discovery during transit to make appropriate adjustments to shipping charges.
Fuel surcharges
The percentage fuel surcharge for the base rates and transportational charges applicable to each package shipment will be based on the National U.S. Average Diesel (On-Highway) Fuel Price per Gallon as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) for the week that is two weeks prior to the adjustment, rounded to the nearest cent.
Pandion will adjust that fuel surcharge weekly, with changes effective on the Monday of each week. The fuel surcharge will be calculated as follows:
If the fuel surcharge falls below or above the published range, then the above table will be updated.
Except as stated in any agreement between Pandion and a particular shipper, the rates and surcharges stated above will apply to all Pandion shipments, and any or all contents of this page are subject to change by Pandion without notice beyond updating the materials above.
