Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 14, 2024

At Pandion, we know how important it is to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices for collecting and using the personal information we receive when you and others use our websites, any of our apps, and our other services (our “Services”). By using our Services, you agree and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Types of personal information we collect

When a person or entity uses our Services (becoming a “Customer”), we can collect different types of information in different ways, as described below.

We automatically collect some information about people who access or use our Services. While a lot of that information isn’t identifiable, some if it includes personal information connected with an IP address, device, browser, Customer account, or another personal identifier.

We also collect information that people give us while using our Services. Personal information that we receive includes name, email address, phone number, location, any review, text, photo, or audio/visual submission we receive, and other information associated with personally identifiable information. Very often, this personal information relates to the recipient of a Customer shipment (a “Recipient”).

As a technology and logistics company, Pandion needs to understand our own delivery network and each location from pick up to delivery. For all pick up, transportation, and delivery locations, the data—including location, zip code, physical address, and information about packages that came there (“Network Data”)—belongs to Pandion as our confidential information instead of being treated as information protected under this policy. To avoid mixing up personal information collected or received from Customers with Network Data and keep Recipients’ personal information protected under this policy safe and private, we de-identify Network Data and impose institutional controls to prevent re-identification (except where re-identification could be required by applicable laws).

Under some circumstances, we also obtain information about a Customer or Recipient from other sources. For example, we can obtain personal information from investigative reports and advertising and marketing partners.

We do not provide our Services to children or knowingly collect personal information from children.

How we use personal information

We collect personal information for the purpose of developing, operating, providing, and improving both the Services we offer to Customers andour offerings for Recipients. Achieving that purpose involves using personalinformation for matters including:

  • delivering services to Customers (for example, we use personal information to communicate with Customer representatives, personalize our services, and provide Customers with updates we receive from their shipment recipients).
  • providing offerings to Recipients (for example, we use personal information to communicate with Recipients for address verification and transit status updates, modify labels, personalize our offerings, and provide support activities),
  • analyzing and troubleshooting technology (for example, we use personal information to log and assess our systems’ performance and fix errors, and in some cases we use analytics providers),
  • preventing and combating abuse (for example, we use personal information to detect fraud, prevent people from using our Services in violation of our terms, and seek legal remedies against offenders),
  • advertising and marketing (for example, we use personal information to serve advertising that may be interesting to current or potential Customers or to deliver and customize marketing messages), and
  • complying with laws (for example we use personal information to assess taxes and perform audits).

When we share personal information

Sometimes we need to share personal information to develop, operate, provide, and improve our Services.

Customer and Recipient Connections: Whenever Customers engage us for transporting packages to Recipients, Pandion receives personal information (like name, email address, and phone number) and uses it to arrange for transportation. Wherever beneficial to performing the Services, Pandion can share information received from Recipients back to Customers and relay information received from Customers over to Recipients.

Service Providers: We engage other companies and individuals to perform business activities on our behalf, like transporting packages, improving our technology solutions, analyzing product and service data, providing support services, conducting audits or investigations, providing consulting or technical services, and conducting advertising and marketing. We give these third parties personal information where it’s necessary to perform their activities (on our behalf or to improve their products and services for their clients generally), and they cannot use it for other purposes.

Related Companies: Where Pandion is held under common control with another company, including affiliates, subsidiaries, and any company that Pandion may acquire or be acquired by, we can share personal information with these related companies if they follow privacy practices that are at least as protective as those described in this policy.

Legal Obligations or Protection: Finally, we sometimes need to share personal information to protect ourselves or others under the law. For example, we may need to share personal information in order to comply with a legal obligation, to enforce our Services contracts, or to protect the rights or safety of Pandion or any of our Customers or Recipients.

We’re not in the business of selling personal information to others. Except as described above, we’ll only share your personal information after giving you an opportunity to choose whether to share that information.

Our approach to cookies

Automated data collection tools like cookies, pixels, and similar recognition technologies allow us to recognize you in connection with developing, operating, providing, and improving our services (like customizing the content delivered to you). We also permit third parties to use these technologies within our services in connection with their performing business activities on our behalf.

You can manage these technologies through your device and browser settings, but the Services do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals sent by various web browsers. You can generally opt out of receiving personalized ads from advertisers who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who follow the Digital Advertising Alliance Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting their opt out pages.

Keeping personal information secure

We put reasonable physical, technical, and institutional protections in place to protect the security of your personal information. This security depends on you, too, and you must follow best security practices like preventing unauthorized access to your account by keeping your account information and passwords secret and secure.

Offerings provided by others

Sometimes our services will connect you to third party products, services, sites, software, or other offerings. This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to any third party’s offerings, so any information a third party gathers from you will be subject to their privacy practices. We’re not responsible for those third parties’ content, security, or privacy policies.

Revisions to this Privacy Policy

When our business changes, this Privacy Policy will also change. Our current Privacy Policy applies to all personal information we’ve collected. You should check this policy regularly, because your continuing to access or use our Services after a change will mean that you agree and consent to that change.
